Suri Matriarch: Silken Ecstacy

SOMERSET PERUVIAN SILKEN ECSTACY IAR 27243

Although the registration certificate states BORN 1993 we suspect that this Suri was born long before then. When Alpaca are imported from South America the age of many is unknown, therefore the importer provides the IAR [our register]with a birth date which is little more than a guestamate.

We supplement feed this valuable Suri most of the year, but particularly during lactation.

Currently she is pregnant to 'Cedar House Prince of Stars', and we are really looking forward to this Cria, as the previous 4 progeny have been top class.

Somerset Silk Mist....By Peruvian Czar. Residing with us at Homestead Farm. Mother of Hadstock N.Z. Silken Delight, also at Homestead Farm, this prize winning Suri's photo has been used by AANZ marketing for their banners and posters.

Hadstock N.Z. Sungod.... By Suricaya Santiago Savage. Sungod got his name from his colour, a rich golden red. Mary Grant has been using him for mating females in Southland since late 2002, and we are looking forward, as we know Mary is, to seeing his offspring. Hadstock N.Z.

Sir Peter....By Cedar House Raphael. A stunning white who has won many broad ribbons for Homestead Farm, including Champion Suri, N.Z. Royal 2002. He has a new home with Claire & Andrew McCracken of Oxford. Sir Peter will be used by the McCracken's over the group of white Suri females, many of whom have been purchased in Australia.

Hadstock N.Z. Domani....By Cedar House Raphael. Tony & Janie Cameron purchased this man for stud duties, in Levin, when he was a few weeks old. He is a full brother to 'Sir Peter' and looks much the same as his older sibling. We call 'Domani' THE MAN, because of his 'look at me' attitude. The X factor? For the sake of the New Zealand Suri industry we hope that we can convince Ecstacy to have many more cria.
